MEXICO: GUNS, DRUGS, VIOLENCE


MICHAEL BRAUN TESTIMONY:

We have spent over $700 billion dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that should serve as a clear indication that the $1.5 billion dollars in Merida Initiative funding that our Country has promised to Mexico and Central America to fight the drug cartels over the next three years falls woefully short.  It’s a start in the right direction, but we had better be willing to do more, or Mexico could well lose this fight.  If we do not provide more and they fail, our meager $1.5 billion dollar investment will cost our Country far, far more.  We owe Mexico more—a great deal more.  (See Full Story Here)
